Review: Barefoot at Moonrise

Barefoot at Moonrise

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I know I have said this before but I LOVE THE BAREFOOT BAY STORIES, this is book 2 in the Timeless series and it is about Ken Cavanaugh and Beth Endicott. These books are about the maturer adult, looking for second chances. Ken is now a firefighter and is the Captain at his station, Beth is a house renovator, they recently met up again at a school reunion - where they were both on the committee for arranging the reunion.

Beth and Ken used to be high school sweethearts, Ken was the guy from the other side of the tracks while Beth was high society but they both fell in love until one fateful day when things changed. Years later at the reunion Ken is trying to apologise for what he did to Beth and they find that the chemistry is still red hot between them and well things happen and Ken gets his chance to woo her once again. Ken is definitely a guy that Beth can rely on, he is sensitive, loving, and he won't let her down and insists on helping her with her renovations when her contractor lets her down. However Beth is finding it hard to let go of her independence until she decides it great to sit and watch.

Due to the history between these two characters, this story is a very entertaining read. This story contains strong willed people, it's about second chances, forgiveness, understanding, putting the past behind them and learning to love once again and a few surprises along the way.

Once again Roxanne has kept me entertained so that I did not want to put the book down. I can not wait for the next silver fox book. A definite MUST READ.
