ISBN: 9-781-4926-0144-9
● Ages 14+
I give this book 5 stars.
I generally only read adult romance novels, but Suzanne Brockmann is one of my favourite authors and I was drawn to read this book, and I am so glad I did.  Suspense, kidnapping, murder, paranormal activities, clues, friendship, and attraction are all packed into this book and I definitely recommend it even though it says its for age 14+, which nearly put me off at first because I am over forty, but take it from me - its well worth a read.
Suzanne and Melanie definitely make a good writing team, they drop clues into the story which make you think and everything is always explained as you go along.  I will be looking out for the next book by this mother/daughter team.
Skylar Reid thinks she is an ordinary sixteen year old, she attends school, babysits and goes out with her friend Calvin. Then on one unfortunate night, her life is turned upside down.  The little girl she baby sits disappears, she starts to smell things that other people can not, she has nightmares about the little girls disappearance, she is held at gun point by a mad woman and saved by a motorcycle girl, who then keeps popping up.
Dana (motorcycle girl) is a Greater Than (G-T) and she helps Skylar to understand the world she is in and she helps her with her powers. Together with Calvin and Milo they try to save the people from the Destiny Addicts and from the people who supply and manufacture the product that sends people mad.

 About the book:
Hunted. Kidnapped. Bled. Destiny can be dangerous...
New York Times and USA Today best selling author Suzanne Brockmann makes her young adult debut with a pulse-pounding novel of paranormal suspense set in the same world as her highly acclaimed and best selling romance Born to Darkness, alongside her daughter and co-author Melanie. Young girls are being murdered for the secret that’s in their blood. When Skylar’s neighbor becomes the next victim, she must use her newly discovered abilities to save her before it’s too late.
Sixteen-year-old Skylar Reid is thrown into a strange world when she discovers that she has unique telekinetic and telepathic powers. After Sasha, the child she babysits, is kidnapped and believed to be murdered, Sky and her best friend Calvin are approached by Dana, a mysterious girl who has super-abilities similar to Sky’s. With the help of Dana and her sidekick Milo, the four teens embark on a quest to discover who killed Sasha, and to bring the killers to justice.
With Dana as Skylar’s surly and life-toughened mentor, Sky attempts to harness her powers to aid them in their quest. Complicating an already complex relationship with the older girl, Sky starts to fall for the dangerously handsome and enigmatic Milo – and begins to suspect that the attraction is mutual. But then Sky realizes that Sasha might still be alive, and the unlikely foursome’s mission becomes one of search and rescue, pitting the heroic teens against a very deadly enemy.

Can the magic of Christmas turn a make-believe wedding into the real thing?

an almost perfect christmasI give this book 5 stars.
I started reading this book by Donna Fasano and it touched my heart because I can connect with the characters in this story.
The story is about a father, daughter, a wish list and a caring nurse.  Izzie is very ill with cancer, she is an avid list maker and she has asked her father for a family Christmas with a make believe mommy as she lost her mum 2 years ago, and this is where the story starts with Aaron (the father) asking the staff at the hospital if anyone can help him give his daughter (Izzie), the family Christmas she wants. Christy (the nurse) steps forward and offers her assistance, to help Aaron help Izzie to tick off everything on her list.
I have to congratulate Donna Fasano on the compassionate way she has written this sad and beautiful love story, I read it in one sitting because I was drawn into this book. Emotion and love comes alive in these pages.

EXCERPT:
“Gloves, hat, scarf, insulated jacket,” she said. “I’m ready.”
He paused long enough to shoot her a serious look. “You’re being a great sport about all of this, Christy. Being dragged out in the cold on Christmas Eve is going above the call.”
She smiled at him, and suddenly he couldn’t seem to draw a breath. He felt as if he was really seeing her for the first time, and she was a stunningly beautiful woman.
Izzie rapped on his window.
Her voice was muffled as she urged, “Come on, Daddy.”
The adults exited the car, and as soon as Aaron closed the door, he looked across the roof at Christy. Her blond hair curled softly around her shoulders, and her hands were stuffed into her jacket pockets. She walked up the ramp toward the boardwalk, and Aaron couldn’t help but notice how nicely she filled out her jeans with soft curves.
He’d realized she had a kind and giving nature; no one would sacrifice their own Christmas for the sake of a child unless that person was very special, indeed. But why hadn’t he noticed just how pretty she was? Or how enticingly her hips swayed when she walked?
“Oh, wow, how pretty!”
Aaron had to smile when his daughter shouted out the very words that were racing through his head. Of course, Izzie was describing something totally different.
BIO:
USA Today Bestselling Author Donna Fasano has written over 30 romance and women’s fiction titles. Her books have won awards and have sold 4 million copies worldwide. She loves to hear from readers.
Growing up the third child of five—yes, smack dab in the middle and the only girl to boot—Donna Fasano had no idea she would one day be a published author. Her story-telling talents came to light when she conjured lively and elaborate tales of pure blarney (yes, she has a bit of Irish in her blood) for, first, her youngest brother, and years later, her children.

Donna sold her first manuscript in 1989, and since then has become a bestselling, award-winning author of over thirty novels and four audio books. She writes under her own name, Donna Fasano, as well as under the pen name Donna Clayton and is known for her "smooth, polished" writing style and for creating "strong, complex" characters. Reviewers have described her stories as "poignant," "richly textured," "enticing," and "absorbing." The writing process can be extremely engrossing for Donna, so much so that she's missed appointments with dentists and doctors, lunches with friends and family, and once she even forgot her carpool run. Luckily, the people in her life make allowances for this quirk.

Still happily married to her high school sweetheart, she is the mother of two grown sons who have flown the coop. She and her husband share their home with Jake, a black and white, couch-potato border collie, and Roo, a spotted red and cream Australian cattle dog that looks (and acts) like a wild dingo. Donna's spare time is spent reading, walking the countryside and beach, or trying out new recipes from one of the many cookbooks she has collected over the years. Oh, and one night a week she and her hubby nab some alone time from their busy schedules, enjoying a nice glass of wine and a video—preferably a romantic comedy. Donna also volunteers loads of hours to her small church.

Risking It All by Joanne Stewart REVIEW - Emotion leaps off these pages.

Risking It All

I give this book 5 stars

This is the first book I have read by Joanne Stewart and let me say Joanne brought feeling and emotion to life in this story with a beautiful way with words.

Cecilia and Kyle have been friends for 20 years, they have always been there for one another through thick and thin. They have a relationship that meant that either one could always call on the other at any time of night and day. However Kyle's feeling towards Ceci changes and he has to endure Ceci dating other men, dealing with
her grandmothers death and trying to deal with the nightmares that plague her. Ceci can not remember anything of her childhood before the age of 7 and this story is about her finding her past, learning to trust and giving her love to the one man that deserves it.
What a wonderful book, you can almost taste the emotion coming from the pages. Every woman deserves a Kyle. Congratulations Joanne on a great 'MUST READ' book.

EXCERPT:
For a moment, she stared, her eyes searching his, then she straightened her shoulders.

“Why’d you kiss me?”

Panic curled through him, sending his pulse pounding into his rib cage. Damn. Why hadn’t he expected her to ask that? But he couldn’t answer it. To do so would be tempting fate. An intense need for distance seized him. Half afraid he’d lose his mind and do something else he’d regret, like pull her into his arms and show her why he’d kissed her, he shot to his feet.

He flashed her a smile he knew had to look as phony as it felt. “Headache’s better. Thanks.”

He didn’t wait for a response but strode toward the yard.
“I need to know, Kyle.”

His answer sat on the tip of his tongue, but the voice of reason sounded in his head. Don’t say it. Whatever you do, do not say it. Just keep walking.

Her soft footsteps sounded behind him. “You can’t just do something like that and walk away and expect me not to question it. You blow hot and cold, do you know that? I know
desire when I see it, yet you just keep walking away.”

“Ever think maybe I wanted to kiss you?” The words left his mouth on a hoarse whisper, and God help him, a desperate need to see her eyes seized him. He turned to find her directly behind him. She stared for a fraction of a second too long, heat and curiosity blazed in her eyes. A heartbeat later, a light blush stole into her cheeks, but she didn’t move, didn’t say a word.

Everything inside of him ground to a halt, his mind twisting off in another direction. I’ll be damned. If ever he needed a confirmation, there it was. Whatever had happened between them was definitely not one-sided.

Release Date: September 15, 2014
Genre: Fantasy Romance
Format: Boxed Set
Summary
Fall into magic and fall in love with DARKLY DREAMING, an anthology from five award winning and best selling writers in fantasy romance.
Feared by a priesthood. Coveted by a god. Tempted by a slave. In Grace Draven's MASTER OF CROWS, a renegade mage must battle a god for his soul and decide if his fate—and the fate of nations—is worth the life of the spy he has come to love.
From MASTER OF CROWS:
Silhara’s eyes closed. He told himself the residual effects of her Gift sliding over him—through him—brought on that embrace. But he didn’t believe his own lies. He kissed Martise because he wanted her, because he admired her. Because he wanted more than just the ethereal essence of her lingering on his tongue once her Gift withdrew. He’d kissed her on impulse, lured by the tempting curve of her lips and the slight feel of her in his arms. He’d expected her to retreat from his onslaught. Gentleness was not in his nature, and he was desperate to taste her. But she hadn’t recoiled from his rough embrace, responding instead with a passion to equal his own.

He ghosted his lips over hers, bit by bit applying more pressure with each pass, until she woke. Those eyes opened, the room too dark to see their full color, but after the focused on him they relaxed, losing the lines of confusion and settling into happiness. “I’m sorry I fell asleep. It’s been a long day.”
He pushed her hair back from her cheek, the petal-soft skin sensitizing the nerve endings in his fingers. “Yes, it has. I wish I had the willpower to let you sleep as you need, but I could not wait that long to hear your voice again.”
